My partner took us here with his family, the best local breakfast place you can go. Family friend (Everyone is seen as family) open, welcoming, wonderful and amazing staff!! I love when the cook comes out and chats with everyone, not many restaurants do that or are close knit to be like so. For someone coming here first time and experiencing it. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT food hot fresh, staff friendly and welcoming, atmosphere of the restaurant 100/10 recommend
I really enjoyed this place. I was slightly unsure going in because it could have been really good or really bad when it comes to "traditional" food. I ordered a chipotle melt and it was absolutely exquisite. There was enough bite and tang but not feeling overpowering either. The sandwich was a perfect balance of favors and depth and I found it superb. I noticed the bread was toasted with butter to give you a taste of savory before the rest of your buds taste the sandwich. I got the homemade fries and I appreciate that they were both seasoned and air fried. They were exactly how I used to make them when I would regularly serve them at home. The chili was a bit watery and lacked depth in seasoning, but I get the feeling it was because I was there fairly early into the lunch menu and it hadn't settled/rested yet. I'll be recommending this place to everyone l talk to. Thank you for a great experience! Hope to come back soon!
Breakfast is crowded on the weekends. Packed full and waiting. It’s worth a little wait. The zero form the waitress is fabulous. The owner and his wife cooks home made meals. Parking okay along the street. Clean neighborhood, family friendly.
The food was great quality!!! Everyone working there was friendly and respectful! I definitely recommend this nice and calm place to have a lunch with friends and family (The price of all of the food wasn't too expensive either!) ❤️
Finally, got to try Rachel’s today! I’ve been waiting for years and let me tell you it was worth the wait! I had the breakfast bowl and it was delicious! The potato’s were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection and that HAM 🤤! 12/10 recommend! I will be back to try the Rueben and the hot roast beef! Thanks Rachel & team for the hospitality and fast, friendly service! ❤️
The atmosphere is great here. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. I had gotten the Turkey Club Sandwich with hand cut fries. I would definitely reorder that Sandwich and I am definitely going there again to try something else on the menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to try a new restaurant.
If you're ever in the Wheeling, WV area or just passing through, you must stop at Rachel's on 16th! The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is tasty, with huge portions and reasonable prices. I had the chance to chat with friendly customers and staff. Definitely worth the stop!
Rachel's on 16th is a small but great breakfast venue. The food was really good and the service was spectacular. I highly recommend it! Definitely worth driving a little farther to get there. Prices were very modest. Keep up the great job everyone.
Nice friendly place with a homemade food type feel. Service was very good and friendly with a polite server. Clearly a place favorited by the locals several of whom appear to know each other well and imparted a hometown vibe. Prices were very reasonable and portions were satisfying.
Go for the food, stay for the art and great service. And the food - this is NOT a standard diner. We 4 had lunch: an outstanding club, a quesadilla with the chipotle-adobo drizzle on the side (Mom was scared but liked it), chopped salad with balsamic dressing, and a giant juicy burger. Note that when asked whether you would like hand-cut fries, you say YES. The art is WV Tin Man’s (Robert Villamagna) - was not familiar but came home and googled. See this stuff! And enjoy this great cooking. Will be back to try the breakfast menu.
